The Search for Truth
Many of us who 'think' that we are in a state of awareness of our surroundings are limited by the information (or the lack thereof) we posses. This results in a state of total ignorance/denial of many issues of grave importance. Issues that may not affect us in any direct way but are affecting our country.
There is a lot happening around us. When I say around us, I mean even those things which are happening far away from your line of sight. All of us are going through various stages of enlightenment, or ignorance as a pessimist would say. Many of us are ignorant of what is happening. Many have half knowledge. Whereas many of us have the wrong knowledge. I too am going through this process of enlightenment. And in my effort to ensure that my opinions are formed on the basis of information that is holistic, I wanted to take along as many willing people as I could.
Documentaries are an excellent medium to get in touch with the unseen or unheeded aspect of issues. With these thoughts in mind, Satya Shodh took birth.
A couple of points that I would like us to note:
i. Every documentary presents a view. Which means, the film maker presents a point of view that he/she feels is right. It is up to us to use our discretion and decide for ourselves how much of it should be considered.
ii. Many issues seem to not affect us directly. However awareness of one's surroundings - locality, city, district, state, country, world, universe is desirable. Who knows where this knowledge will lead you?
